Today, Sunday, groups of extremist settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under heavy security from the Israeli occupation forces, while armed confrontations broke out in the Nur Shams camp, east of Tulkarm, between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces.

Since the morning, the occupation police have deployed their special forces and units in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and at its gates, to secure the settlers’ incursions.

According to the Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem, dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque since morning, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern region of it.

She explained that the occupation police intensified their procedures at the gates of Al-Aqsa, imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers, and confiscated the identities of some young men before dawn prayers, which led to tension in the mosque.

Last night and at dawn today, Israeli police forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and forcibly removed the stationed from it after beating them, and arrested a number of them.

The occupation forces prevented worshipers leaving Al-Aqsa Mosque from entering it again.

The Jerusalemites’ calls for Rabat in Al-Aqsa Mosque intensified throughout the month of Ramadan, and to confront the settlement and Judaization occupation plans against the mosque and the holy city.

Every day, except for Friday and Saturday, Al-Aqsa Mosque witnesses a series of violations and incursions by settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, in an attempt to impose full control over the mosque and divide it temporally and spatially.

Armed clashes

In a related context, armed clashes erupted between the occupation forces and Palestinian resistance fighters, after the Israeli occupation forces stormed the Nur Shams refugee camp in the Tulkarem governorate in the West Bank.

According to Palestinian media, the occupation forces surrounded a house in the camp in which a group of resistance fighters were holed up, and deployed snipers on the rooftops of neighboring houses.

The Tulkarm Battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said in a statement that its fighters are responding to the occupation’s storming in the Al-Mahjar area on the outskirts of the camp, and called on the citizens to take care and caution in order to preserve their lives during the military operation.

For its part, the Israeli Army Radio said that the army forces stormed the Nur Shams camp with the aim of arresting wanted persons who opened fire on the “Avni Hefetz” settlement.

Yesterday, Saturday, the Rapid Response Group in the Tulkarm Brigade announced that it had carried out a double operation in the settlements of “Beit Hefer” and “Avni Hefetz”.

The group said that its resistance fighters infiltrated the two settlements at the same time, and fired at the settlers from zero distance, stressing that they had caused direct casualties among the settlers.

She added that the resistance fighters returned to their bases safely, calling on the resistance on all fronts to escalate the confrontation with the occupier.

Settler attacks

In the city of Ramallah in the West Bank, settlers burned a house in the town of Sinjil.

Eyewitnesses reported that a group of settlers threw Molotov cocktails at a house in the town.

The residents rushed to the house to confront the settlers, where they were able to put out the fire after it caused damage to the house’s facilities.

In Nablus, a number of Palestinians were injured as a result of an attack by a group of settlers in the town of Deir Sharaf, west of the city.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that its crews transported a number of injured people to the hospital for treatment.

For several years, Israeli extremists have been carrying out attacks on property and residents in East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Arab cities and villages in Israel under the name of “price tag”.

Abuse of prisoners

In a related matter, the Israeli occupation forces stormed a section of Nafha prison on Saturday morning, and suppressed the Palestinian prisoners inside the section.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club stated, in a statement, that the repression units of the occupation prison administration transferred a prisoner to solitary confinement cells.

The club added that the occupation forces completely closed the section, amid a state of tension prevailing in the prison.
